Ben Levesque

Benjamin Levesque is a saxophonist and educator based in his hometown of Windsor, Connecticut. Benjamin recently graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.M in Saxophone Performance and currently attends the Hartt School of Music to pursue a M.M. in Saxophone Performance. Benjamin has a passion for teaching, and has coached the Rhombus Quartet as well as teaching private lessons for students ranging from the beginner to collegiate level. In May of 2022, Ben performed in the world premier of “Liquid Metal” for Saxophone Quartet by award winning composer Chris Evan Hass. He has recently been named the undergraduate winner of the 2022 UConn Concerto Competition, and performed Andre Waignein's "Rhapsody for Alto Saxophone" with the UConn Symphony Orchestra.
During the summer of 2023, Benjamin and the UConn Saxophone Quartet were chosen to attend the Sinta Quartet Institute, where he studied with the world renowned Donald Sinta Quartet. Currently, Benjamin plays in the University of Hartford Wind Ensemble and plays Alto Saxophone in the Hierx Quartet. Previously, Benjamin has studied with Kendra Emery, Dr. Colette Hall, Paul Evoskovich, and Greg Case. Benjamin is currently a student of Carrie Koffman.
