Leslie Dockeray studied viola and violin at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, City University of New York, receiving a BA and MA in Music Performance. Her principal teachers were William Lincer, former Principal Violist of the NY Philharmonic, Katherine Greene, NY Philharmonic, and Patinka Kopec, Manhattan School of Music. She also completed the School for Strings, NY, two-year Suzuki Teacher Training Program. Leslie taught for many years at the Center for Preparatory Studies in Music at Queens College, The Harlem School for the Arts, and currently at the Middle School of Grace Church School. She is also a teacher and freelance musician in her new home here in Manchester, CT and is very happily starting her second year here at Beller’s.
